If you need some study material you can download it from the link below, our medtigo ACLS Study Guide provides guidelines that will boost your understanding of ACLS:

When healthcare professionals are asked why they pursued a career in healthcare, most will say that they wanted to help save lives.

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course was developed to teach healthcare professionals how to lead a healthcare team through basic life support (BLS) and more advanced critical-care techniques. Read on to learn about how to obtain ACLS certification and how long the certification is good for.

ACLS is an extremely vital skill for all healthcare providers and students. You never know when you will be in a situation where someone may need advanced lifesaving care. By completing an ACLS course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed when faced with these life-or-death crises.

Most healthcare organizations will require medical staff to obtain ACLS certification through the American Heart Association, which publishes the current guidelines regarding the principles of ACLS. There are two options for obtaining ACLS certification through the American Heart Association. The first option is a basic ACLS course, which may be the right option for you if you have not yet used ACLS skills in practice but intend to use ACLS in the future. The second option is intended for those who have experience in applying the principles of BLS and ACLS.

Once you successfully complete the ACLS course, you will receive an ACLS Provider Course Completion Card. This card is valid for two years from the date of course completion. The two-year timeframe applies to both the basic ACLS course and the ACLS for Experienced Providers course. Once the two years have passed, you will need to be recertified in ACLS.

Becoming certified in ACLS is a skill that not many individuals have. By taking the time to obtain ACLS certification, you will be more competitive in your field and will have the vital skills to save a life through advanced care.
