Pharmacology
It is also known as Carapa guianensis which has natural anti-inflammatory properties due to the tetranortriterpenoids. It shows that the oil extracted from the seeds contains 6α-acetoxygedunin and 7-deacetoxy-7-oxogedunin which have medicinal qualities.
