Action:
Butamirate citrate acting on the medulla oblongata and suppresses cough. This brainstem area controls vital functions like breathing and heartbeat. It reduces sensitivity of sensory nerves in the respiratory tract, easing coughing. It is effective in treating dry or wet cough and other conditions like inflammation in bronchus, larynx, and pharynx.

If a patient with an history of known hypersensitivity or allergy to butamirate citrate or any of its ingredients, they should not use this drug.
Caution:
Patients with COPD or asthma should be treated carefully.
Patients using this drug should avoid tasks requiring mental alertness like driving or operating heavy machinery.

Lactation: While breastfeeding, this syrup should be avoided.
Pregnancy Categories:
Category A: Studies that were well-controlled and met expectations revealed no risk to the fetus in either the first or second trimester.
