Why do we use cycloserine?Â
cycloserine is an antibiotic that is used to treat certain types of bacterial infections, particularly tuberculosis (TB). It is a member of the cyclohexadepsipeptide class of antibiotics and works by inhibiting the synthesis of certain proteins that are required by bacteria for growth and reproduction. Â
cycloserine is usually used in combination with other antibiotics to treat TB, as it has a high risk of causing serious side effects when used alone. It is typically used to treat cases of TB that are resistant to other antibiotics, or in cases where the bacteria have developed resistance to other drugs.Â
