furazolidone, metronidazole and dicyclomine treat diarrhea. furazolidone and metronidazole are antibiotics that work by stopping the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms that cause diarrhea. dicyclomine is an anticholinergic medication that works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and intestines (bowels). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing so, it reduces cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort.

Antibiotics such as metronidazole and furazolidone prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms that cause diarrhea. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic agent that works by relaxing the muscles in the intestines and stomach, thereby avoiding sudden spasms or contractions.
Pharmacodynamics:
The combined effects of furazolidone, metronidazole, and dicyclomine on the body are referred to as the pharmacodynamics of the combination. Antibiotics with bactericidal features, such as metronidazole and furazolidone, prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms. They accomplish this by interfering with a number of cellular functions, which finally stops bacterial growth.
Contrarily, dicyclomine is an anticholinergic that works by causing the muscles in the intestines and stomach to relax. It does this by preventing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is involved in muscle contractions, from acting. Dicyclomine therefore aids in the relief of gastrointestinal tract muscle spasms.
