Levocetirizine is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to the formulation’s active ingredient and other excipients.

Why do we use levocetirizine? 

levocetirizine is an antihistamine medication that is primarily used for the treatment of various allergic conditions. It is an active enantiomer of cetirizine, meaning it is a single, specific form of the drug.

levocetirizine is commonly prescribed for the management of allergic rhinitis, which includes seasonal allergies (hay fever) and perennial allergies (year-round). It helps to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, and nasal congestion associated with allergic rhinitis.

It is effective in the treatment of urticaria, also known as hives. Urticaria is characterized by raised, itchy welts on the skin that can be triggered by allergies or other factors. levocetirizine helps to alleviate the itching and reduce the severity of hives.
