Actions and spectrum:
Recent studies have found that sublingual MV140 triggers the production of antibodies and stimulates human dendritic cells to produce T helper (Th) 1, Th17, and interleukin-10. This leads to the generation of anti-inflammatory T-cell responses in secondary lymphoid organs and the bladder. The development of adaptive immunity is believed to be the reason for the observed clinical protection even after treatment is stopped. However, it is possible that trained immunity (activation of innate immune cells leading to increased responsiveness to future bacterial triggers) may also have a role to play.

Pharmacology:
MV 140 vaccine is an oral vaccine containing four different types of whole-cell inactivated bacterial strains of Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Enterococcus faecalis, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
Pharmacodynamics:
MV 140 vaccine is administered sublingually. This pathway prevents deterioration from stomach acids and digestive enzymes, resulting in successful transportation.
Pharmacokinetics:
Limited data available
