Generic Name: Omidenepag isopropylÂ
Pronounced: (oh” mi den’ e pag eye” soe proe’ pil)Â
Why do we use Omidenepag isopropyl?Â
Omidenepag isopropyl is a chemical compound that belongs to a class of compounds called prostaglandin analogs. It is an active ingredient in Travatan Z, which treats open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension (high pressure in the eye).Â
Omidenepag isopropyl works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, the fluid that circulates within the eye, from the posterior chamber of the eye to the anterior chamber. This helps reduce the pressure in the eye, preventing further damage to the optic nerve and preserving vision.Â
