Actions and spectrum: 

Vitexin possesses antioxidant activity. It is also known to inhibit the activity of α- glucosidase, a carbohydrate hydrolysing enzyme. It is also an inhibitor of platelet aggregation.

Vitexin, an apigenin flavonoid is obtained from pearl millet, bamboo leaves and passion flower etc. Vitexin has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-nociceptve properties. It is also helpful to maintain health of brain and heart. It also inhibits aging.
