Seeing that I have a daughter undergoing this same exact thing, I think she is an idiot. Her being a law maker has gone to her head. She needs to focus on her own family and figure out where she would even say this out loud much less try and impose her will.and misguided understanding on other families who do deal with this daily and don’t want their children to die. FU is what I would say to your face and you need some major counseling and deal with your own feelings and family before making laws affecting others. Deal with your own personal crap first! And stop hating your own child you’re sick and you’ll regret your words.

Children with mental disorders including Gender dysphoria / delusions and body image disorders need care with the informed consent of the Parents / legal guardians. Age of Consent and mental competence are essential component for all medical care, and this is being entirely deliberately ignored. It is like saying that an 12 years old (or at any age) with Anorexia Nervosa who is 5 foot tall and 55 lbs in weight, just because she thinks that she is too fat, the medical professionals should “affirm” her and do surgery to remove any subcutaneous tissue they can! This is preposterous and NOBODY will even think of it.
Another meme said: A 5 years old boy claimed that he was a pirate, so he had one eye and a leg removed and will have a hook placed for the hand!
These surgeries / procedures are nothing other than mutilation and create more mental distress leading to more suicides after the interventions.
Saying that the “mother would rather see her daughter die” is only bringing extraneous emotional issues to the topic of what medical care should be.

SEX CHANGE OPERATIONS DO NO GOOD
The “trans” lobby claims that genital mutilation of minors is necessary in order to prevent troubled teenagers from committing suicide. To my knowledge, there is no empirical basis for this claim, and suicide rates among those who have undergone sex change surgery are sky-high. But the claim persists, nevertheless.

Now, it turns out that one of the key “studies” relied on to support sex change procedures has been withdrawn. Public Discourse reports:

A major correction has been issued by the American Journal of Psychiatry. The authors and editors of an October 2019 study, titled “Reduction in mental health treatment utilization among transgender individuals after gender-affirming surgeries: a total population study,” have retracted its primary conclusion. Letters to the editor by twelve authors, including ourselves, led to a reanalysis of the data and a corrected conclusion stating that in fact the data showed no improvement after surgical treatment.
