  A check-in software named Phreesia is using patient data for marketing. They claim that their practice is ethical because patients are allowed to opt-out by not signing the consent form, but these details seems to be hidden in fine print.
  
  Should this be allowed? This seems like a very suspicious practice which is bypassing medical privacy laws for the sake of profit. Representatives from Phreesia claim their practices actually add value to the patient’s life, but that seems rather unlikely.
