The researchers conducted a study to compare health outcomes across generations in the U.S., spanning from baby boomers to Gen X (those born after the baby boom but before millennials). They discovered that Gen X individuals exhibit higher overall cancer rates compared to their parents and grandparents. Specifically, women in this group are more prone to leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, ovarian, pancreatic, colon, uterine, rectal, kidney, and thyroid cancers. Men, on the other hand, show increased risks for prostate, rectal, kidney, and thyroid cancers. Additionally, the study revealed varying rates based on race—Hispanic women, in particular, demonstrated one of the most significant increases in cancer risk compared to previous generations among all demographic groups.

We were the generation that a lot of medication was experimented on us in and out of the uterus. We were also first exposed to processed foods and chemicals before they realized the damage they did. We were also exposed to tobacco in many forms in closed spaces breathing in the polluted air, lead in paint, absbestod in insulation, pesticides on plants for food and so much more
