Can babies created in laboratories without traditional DNA material benefit society as traditionally conceived babies?

  • Yes, having a child artificially might help couples facing infertility issues, same sex couples, and individuals who want to slow down the biological clock
  • Maybe, individuals with genetic diseases benefit from the ability to produce healthy offspring through artificial means
  • No, having perfect lab-made babies has moral and ethical implications and would steer society in a negative direction

Scientists have made significant progress in the field of in vitro gametogenesis (IVG), which potentially allows for creation of a new person from skin or blood cells without the need for traditional sex.
The potential applications of IVG are far-reaching and include the cure for various types of infertility, the ability to slow or even turn off biological clocks, and embryo selection for desired traits. IVG could eventually lead to the ability to create a perfect baby.
The commercialization of IVG and the pursuit of a “perfect” generation raise ethical questions about benefits from this technology and whether it is fundamentally experimental on children. Some experts argue that the field of fertility treatment, including IVG, has historically been an experiment with social, legal, and moral implications.

it can actually help. I agree with the first 2 points, but to some extent, I agree with point 3 too, that they can have moral and ethical implications and would steer society in a negative direction. But as with anything that has pros, it has cons too. so I would say that the morals and ethical implications and manners depend on the brought-up more. so those who are unable to conceive or are having some other genetic or any other issue, at least they will be Blessed with a healthy baby, they can teach them morals by focusing on their brought up.
