The Biden administration is worried about President Joe Biden’s health because a Parkinson’s disease expert named Dr. Kevin Cannard visited the White House many times from July 2023 to March 2024. Cannard is one of the reputed neurologists who studies Parkinson’s disease. He was allowed into the White House eight times during this period.Â
After President Biden’s debate with former President Trump, people started wondering if he is healthy. Because his performance was poor in that debate.Â
Biden’s doctor confirmed that Dr. Kevin Cannard had visited the president. But it was not for personal appointments. The visits were part of Cannard’s general neurology practice. He said he also cares for other people at the White House. This is common because many military personnel have neurological issues related to their service. Biden has not seen a neurologist outside of his annual physical.Â
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced tough questions from reporters about President Biden’s meeting with Dr. Kevin Cannard. Jean-Pierre emphasized the privacy of medical information. She also said Cannard treats diverse range of patients at the White House Medical Unit (WHMU). Â

Jean-Pierre was unhappy with the way the briefing was conducted and found it offensive. O’Connor got permission from Cannard and president to share more information. He shared that no evidence of neurological disorders such as stroke, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis was found.Â
Parkinson’s disease is a brain condition that affects the cells responsible for producing dopamine. It helps with movement coordination. This disorder affects many people in the world every year. There is no cure for this disorder. But there are some effective therapies and treatments that reduce symptoms of this disorder. Â
