New Study Finds OXO-001 Pills Improve IVF Success Rates

A new study has recently found that OXO-001 pills can effectively improve the results of in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). These are the fertility treatments commonly used to treat infertility. It is effective and increases the chances of the embryo sticking and growing into a baby. 

This study is recently presented at the ESHRE 40th Annual Meeting that was held in Amsterdam. In this study, researchers involved 96 women. These women were aged 40 and under and received either IVF or ICSI treatment. They divided them into two groups such as the OXO-001 group and the placebo group. The OXO-001 group was consisted of 54 women who took OXO-001 pills. On the other hand, the placebo group was consisted of 42 women who took placebo pills.

They started using these pills one menstrual cycle before the embryo transfer cycle and used them until five weeks after it. Researchers mainly wanted to check the effectiveness of OXO-001 pills as they act directly on the endometrium. It is the inner lining of the uterus. 

When researchers observed the collected data, they found that women in the OXO-001 group had a higher rate of early pregnancy detection (75.9%) as compared to those who were in the placebo group (52.4%). This difference is considered very important. They also found that using OXO-001 increased the chances of having a clinical pregnancy and ongoing pregnancy as compared to using a placebo. The increase was 14.3% for clinical pregnancy and 10.6% for ongoing pregnancy. The live birth rates were also increased by 6.9% with OXO-001 as compared to the placebo. 

Researchers also found some common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache. These side effects were similar for both groups and were mostly not severe. After six months, the babies showed good development and there were no differences compared to those who took placebo pills. Overall, OXO-001 was well accepted and people followed the instructions well. 

One of the researchers said that they have found a new treatment that increased ongoing pregnancy by more than 9 percentage points. This is very good news for patients and the scientific community. They are excited to continue developing this treatment in future clinical trials. 

The results of this study clearly show that OXO-001 drug can effectively help embryos implant in the womb. Healthcare professionals should suggest this treatment for those women who are undergoing IVF and ICSI. Hence it can effectively increase the fertility rate. This treatment is very important for those who are infertile and unable to conceive.
