Novant Health Expands Business Division To Fasten Clinical, Operational And Technological Advances In Healthcare

Novant Health, one of the Southeast’s leading healthcare systems, today announced the formation of a new business division dedicated to developing and implementing scalable solutions to some of the industry’s most pressing issues. Novant Health Enterprises (NHE) will better enable partnerships with other health care organizations, develop diverse growth, and generate value for Novant Health’s core business as an independent corporate entity. Some Novant Health services will be transferred to this new division, and unique service offerings will be developed and acquired. Novant Health’s progress will be accelerated because of NHE’s investments and partnerships in clinical, operational, and technical developments.

According to PR Newswire, the health system’s new venture is envisioned as an incubator to speed the development of solutions that promise to unlock clinical, financial, and patient value at scale will bring innovative market solutions that empower all patients to live healthier lives – while allowing physicians to focus on providing the best possible care. Over the next five years, Novant Health Enterprises will focus on three core areas: developing transformational clinical capabilities, continued expansion into non-acute settings, and commercializing differentiating digital solutions, all of which will be built on the health system’s considerable scale and prominence, as well as the strength of its strategic partnerships.

Dean Swindle, executive vice president of Novant Health and president of this new subsidiary, will lead Novant Health Enterprises. Swindle has more than 30 years of experience as a financial and strategic executive in national and regional health systems, where he has established transformational growth initiatives and industry-leading capabilities.

In addition to her position as Novant Health executive vice president and chief transformation and digital officer, Angela Yochem will serve as a chief operating officer and general manager of Novant Health Enterprises. Yochem has over 25 years of expertise in starting and running new businesses, delivering world-class consumer experiences and unique technologies, and developing sophisticated solutions for global corporations at scale to gain a competitive advantage.
