On January 30, 2025, President Donald Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This decision could potentially revolutionize the nation’s healthcare framework. RFK Jr. would oversee significant areas, including public welfare programs, food safety, and medical research.
HHS comprises the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and others.
RFK Jr. practiced as a veteran environmental lawyer who later became a prominent vaccine skeptic. He has raised a controversial viewpoint about public health, vaccines, and medications. The central objective of RFK Jr.’s marathon Senate hearings throughout this week sought to determine his qualification for overseeing an 80,000-worker staff and handling a $1.8 trillion annual budget as America’s health secretary.
Here’s his stance on immunizations, fluoride in water, and agencies of medicine and food.Â
Immunization:Â
RFK Jr stated that he is “pro-science and pro-safety” not “anti-vaccine” during the senate hearings. He said that he is a conspiracy theorist, mainly to prevent him from asking challenging inquiries about powerful interests.
RFK Jr. supports the controversial claim that vaccines, including those for childhood diseases and COVID-19, are unsafe and ineffective. As a founder of Children’s Health Defense, he claimed that vaccines in children cause autism, especially from exposure to measles and hepatitis B vaccines.
He mentioned that he wants to share information regarding vaccine safety with the general public. Trump denied any plan to cease vaccine distribution in the U.S. and stated, “I am not going to take away vaccines because they work for some people. They should have control over their decisions, yet the choice should be focused on the most reliable information available.”
Edibles and medicine:Â
During his announcement, President Donald Trump stated that the drug and food industries had been damaging Americans through deception and false information.
According to RFK Jr., all drug manufacturers, food producers, and their regulatory agencies are responsible for the state of poor health in the U.S. He stated his intention to transform the system responsible for managing herbicides, pesticides, medicines, and food additives.
He declared that there are 1000 ingredients in food that are banned in Europe and other countries, and they are harming our children largely due to the corruption in medical agencies.
Last month, Kennedy stated “The FDA’s war on public health is about to end. He listed various items being restricted, such as sunshine, raw milk, peptides, vitamins, hyperbaric therapies, nutraceuticals, ivermectin, clean foods, exercise, psychedelics, stem cells, chelating agents, hydroxychloroquine, and anything else that promotes human health but isn’t patentable by drug industries. He also shared a message for those working within the system: “I have two things to say: 1. Keep your records, and 2. Pack your bags.”
Fluoride-enriched water:Â
Kennedy recently declared plans to eliminate fluoride from U.S. drinking water despite its anti-cavity properties. Fluoride is present in two-thirds of the water supply networks across America.
He stated, “This chemical is frequently found in toothpaste and used by dentists, yet it’s also an industrial waste product linked to bone fractures, arthritis, thyroid issues, neurodevelopmental disorders like attention deficits, learning disabilities, and lower IQ levels.”
Kennedy stated that the Trump administration’s plans is to eliminate fluoride from U.S. public water systems.
Laying off hundreds of health officials:Â
Kennedy explained that health agencies operating with immoral systems caused recurring health complications to deteriorate further. The NIH will have a complete replacement of 600 employees, who will oversee the vaccine evidence studies as soon as Trump takes office. He intends to closely evaluate staff members at other health agencies such as FDA and CDC.
