A 40-year-old male was brought to the emergency room after experiencing an episode of vomiting blood and abdominal pain. Upon further questioning, the patient revealed that he had consumed a larger amount of alcohol than usual the day prior, which led to four episodes of vomiting. On physical examination, tenderness in the epigastric region was noted. The patient's vital signs included a blood pressure of 130/90 mmHg, a respiratory rate of 20/min, a pulse rate of 110/min, and an SPO2 of 95%. Laboratory investigations were normal, such as a complete blood count, urine analysis, and kidney profile. Immediate endoscopy was recommended, which revealed a mucosal rupture at the gastroesophageal junction.
