nicotine intranasal

The maximum dose per day is 40 mg
one dose of spray contains 0.5 mg of nicotine.

nicotine intranasal 

One spray each nostril (i.e., two sprays to deliver one dose of 1 mg); usually, 10–12 sprays per day in each nostril when required
Start with 1-2 doses/hour; for best results, advise the patient to use at least 8 doses per day at start.
Depending on addiction, the amount may be increased up to a maximum of 40 mg (80 sprays per day).



Dose Adjustments

Administration
Gently tilt head while administering
Avoid sniffing, swallowing, and inhaling through the nose while the spray is being administered.

bupropion 

150 mg orally each day for 3 days
Increase the dose to 150 mg every 12 hours
Continue the treatment for up to 7-12 weeks
If successful quit occurs after 7-12 weeks, consider a maintenance therapy



nicotine transdermal 

More than 10 cigarettes daily
21/14/7-mg treatment regimen: 21-mg patch 1 time a day for about 6 weeks, following 14-mg patch 1 time a day for about 2 weeks, following 7-mg patch 1 time a day for about 2 weeks
Less than 10 cigarettes daily
14/7-mg treatment regimen: 14-mg patch 1 time a day for about 6 weeks, following 7-mg patch 1 time a day for about 2 weeks



clonidine 

(Off-Label)
In smoking-addicted individuals, clonidine is given orally or via transdermal administration
If required, oral administration of 0.1 mg daily followed by a 0.1 mg/ day increase in dose up to 0.15 to 0.75 mg/day
Transdermal patch administration with 100 to 200 mcg/day every week:
