Actions and Spectrum 

aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting enzymes called cyclooxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2) that are involved in the production of prostaglandins.  

paracetamol works by reducing the production of prostaglandins in the brain. It has a weaker anti-inflammatory effect and primarily acts on the central nervous system to reduce pain and fever. 

tizanidine is a muscle relaxant that acts on the central nervous system. It reduces muscle tone and muscle spasms by inhibiting nerve signals in the spinal cord.

Contraindication: 

• Avoid using aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of its active ingredients or any other components of the medication. 

Caution: 

• People with mild to moderate kidney impairment should use this drug with caution. 
• It should be used cautiously in individuals with compromised liver function.

Category A: well-controlled and Satisfactory studies show no risk to the fetus in the first or later trimester.

Pharmacology

Pharmacology  

aceclofenac provides anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. 

paracetamol is used for its analgesic and antipyretic effects. It helps reduce pain and fever without significant anti-inflammatory properties. 

tizanidine’s having effect as muscle relaxation. It is used to alleviate muscle spasms and associated pain. 

Pharmacodynamics 

aceclofenac’s antipyretic action is due to its ability to reduce prostaglandin synthesis in the hypothalamus, which regulates body temperature.  

paracetamol has minimal anti-inflammatory activity. It is less effective in reducing inflammation at the site of injury or inflammation. 

tizanidine is particularly effective in reducing muscle spasms, which can be painful and restrict normal movement.
