Actions and SpectrumÂ
aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting enzymes called cyclooxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2) that are involved in the production of prostaglandins. Â
paracetamol works by reducing the production of prostaglandins in the brain. It has a weaker anti-inflammatory effect and primarily acts on the central nervous system to reduce pain and fever.Â
tizanidine is a muscle relaxant that acts on the central nervous system. It reduces muscle tone and muscle spasms by inhibiting nerve signals in the spinal cord.

Pregnancy Categories:        Â
Category A: well-controlled and Satisfactory studies show no risk to the fetus in the first or later trimester.Â
Category B: there was no evidence of risk to the fetus in animal studies, and there were not enough studies on pregnant women. Â
Category C: there was evidence of risk of adverse effects in animal reproduction studies, and no adequate evidence in human studies must take care of potential risks in pregnant women.Â
Category D: adequate data with sufficient evidence of human fetal risk from various platforms, but despite the potential risk, and used only in emergency cases for potential benefits.Â
Category X: Drugs listed in this category outweigh the risks over benefits. Hence these categories of drugs need to be avoided by pregnant women.Â
Category N: There is no data available for the drug under this category.Â
Pharmacology Â
aceclofenac provides anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.Â
paracetamol is used for its analgesic and antipyretic effects. It helps reduce pain and fever without significant anti-inflammatory properties.Â
tizanidine’s having effect as muscle relaxation. It is used to alleviate muscle spasms and associated pain.Â
PharmacodynamicsÂ
aceclofenac’s antipyretic action is due to its ability to reduce prostaglandin synthesis in the hypothalamus, which regulates body temperature. Â
paracetamol has minimal anti-inflammatory activity. It is less effective in reducing inflammation at the site of injury or inflammation.Â
tizanidine is particularly effective in reducing muscle spasms, which can be painful and restrict normal movement. Â
PharmacokineticsÂ
Absorption  Â
aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine is well-absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration. Â
DistributionÂ
aceclofenac/paracetamol both distribute throughout the body.Â
While tizanidine has a relatively low volume of distribution.Â
MetabolismÂ
aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine undergoes extensive hepatic metabolism.Â
Elimination and excretionÂ
aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine primarily eliminated through the urine.
AdministrationÂ
aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine is combination drug available in tablet form for oral use.Â

Why do we use aceclofenac/paracetamol/ tizanidine?Â
aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine is a combination medication used to treat various musculoskeletal conditions and related symptoms. aceclofenac/paracetamol/tizanidine is indicated to reduce pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms.
