Utilize limited dose in children, as absorption in pediatrics can cause systemic toxicity

hydrocortisone is a synthetic corticosteroid that binds to specific glucocorticoid receptors in the skin cells. Upon binding, it modulates the expression of various genes, resulting in anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects.
It inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators, reduces local edema, and suppresses the immune response in the skin. pramoxine is a local anesthetic that inhibits the conduction of nerve impulses at the application site.

Administration:
Before applying hydrocortisone topical, gently clean the affected area with mild soap and water. Pat the area dry. Add a small amount of hydrocortisone cream or ointment to the affected area. Spread it evenly and gently massage it into the skin until absorbed. Be careful not to apply too much or rub vigorously. After applying hydrocortisone, wash your hands thoroughly to remove any residual medication.
