ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic (fever-reducing) properties. It works by inhibiting enzymes known as cyclooxygenases i.e., COX-1 and COX-2, which is necessary for role in the production of prostaglandins.
dextropropoxyphene is an opioid analgesic, which means it acts on opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord to relieve pain. It has both analgesic and antitussive properties.
