Animals with Severe Heart Conditions: Acepromazine can cause a decrease in blood pressure, which might be dangerous for animals with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions, including severe heart disease, shock, or low blood pressure.Â
Animals prone to Seizures: Acepromazine can lower the seizure threshold and may provoke seizures in animals that are prone to such episodes.Â
Debilitated or Shocked Animals: Acepromazine’s potential to cause hypotension (low blood pressure) makes it unsuitable for use in animals that are severely debilitated or in a state of shock.Â
Breeding, Pregnancy, and Nursing Animals: Acepromazine’s effects on the reproductive system of breeding, pregnant, or nursing animals are not entirely understood, so caution is advised when considering its use in such cases.Â
